Have you joined Sisterhood yet? Have you renewed your membership from last year?
Did you know…..
When you join Temple Emanuel Sisterhood you become a member of the national organization Women of Reform Judaism? As members of WRJ we are part of a much larger organization, one that provides scholarship, aid, education, and support to the Jewish Community worldwide. WRJ also provides support for our congregation. One of the ways we benefit from WRJ locally is due to the special relationship between WRJ and Lilith Magazine, provides discussion material for Temple Emanuel of Tempe’s Sisterhood.
We will see you at the Break The Fast table after Yom Kippur closing services! On behalf of all of Sisterhood, we wish you a happy and healthy and safe new year!
Sisterhood is a lively and active women’s group at Temple Emanuel of Tempe. We are the only sisterhood in the Phoenix area affiliated with Women of Reform Judaism. Sisterhood is for women ages 21+ who are in all stages of life-- single, married, parents, childless women, empty-nesters, working and retired.
Sisterhood works hard to bring education, religious, and social programs to our synagogue. Temple membership is required to join sisterhood; however, all are welcome at attend our events. Sisterhood provides a place for spiritual, personal and leadership growth.
Sisterhood is a great place to help nurture our congregation through:
- Camp scholarships
- Sisterhood Shabbat
- Educational speakers
- Providing Oneg for special occasions
- Providing meals and support to families in need
- Social events
Our annual events include:
- Sisterhood Shabbat
- Hanukkah Party
- Family Bingo
Meetings: First Tuesday of Each Month, 6:30 at Temple
Fees: $36 annual dues; $25 for ages 65+
