Children: Evan, age 45 (We are currently expecting our first grandchild)
Hometowns: Laurel is from Roslyn, New York, Mike is from N. Bellmore, N.Y.
Alma Maters: We met at State University of New York at Albany. Mike has his MBA from Baruch College and Laurel (MA) from Adelphi University.
Members of TE since 1976 when we founded it with 4 other families. We needed a Reform Temple in the East Valley.
Professions: Mike is a semi-retired Certified Public Accountant and Laurel is a retired High School Spanish teacher.
Mike loves Hanukkah and lighting the candles each night. Laurel loves Thanksgiving because it is so universal.
Jewish foods: Mike loves knishes and Laurel likes brisket
The farthest we’ve traveled is to Melbourne, Australia (8,233 miles)
We love to eat Chinese food on Christmas!
Hobbies and Interests: Traveling the world and visiting all the Presidential libraries in the U.S. Mike likes baseball and collects first day cover stamps. Laurel loves reading, working out, and politics.
