|Temple Emanuel will no longer hold our in-person onsite events this weekend such as; Rock Shabbat in the Backyard, Tot Shabbat at Estrada Park, Menorah Installation, and TETY Movie Night in the Backyard.|
However, we do want to keep those feelings of gratitude and giving alive while staying safe.
Though we won’t gather, Temple Emanuel will continue to accept donations for Paz de Cristo all week. Please drop off your Thanksgiving food donations to the box near the front doors of the synagogue anytime before this Saturday morning, November 21st at 9:00 am. Please be sure to leave only non-perishable items in the donation box. Donations could be stuffing, cranberry sauce, canned vegetables, etc.
Small gatherings for previously scheduled Backyard B’nai Mitzvot will continue as planned with limited attendance. For upcoming mitzvah questions and concerns, please connect with Bar/Bat Mitzvah Coordinator Chelsey Falk via.[email protected].
This decision was due to many factors including our community values and our core indicators of the community spread of COVID-19, PCR Test positivity rate and the COVID-like illness percentages of local hospitalizations.
Our dedicated Research Committee will continue to revisit outdoor events when numbers decline.
Our Judaica Shop’s Annual Hanukkah Sale will remain open with strict social-distancing, masks and a limited number of shoppers invited in at a given time.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. We so appreciate all the work that went in to crafting these events and we extend additional appreciation, once again, to our Research Committee for their continuous commitment to our community.
