As United States citizens, we believe democracy is strongest when everyone participates – and that it suffers when citizens are either shut out from the democratic process or choose not to engage.
The Reform Jewish Movement’s 2020 Civic Engagement Campaign encourages all U.S. citizens to exercise their right to vote and to break down obstacles that keep some out of the voting booth.
This is why Temple Emanuel of Tempe is joining the Union of Reform Judaism (URJ) and the Religious Action Center of the URJ in a campaign called Every Voice, Every Vote.
Every Voice, Every Vote is the Reform Jewish Movement’s 2020 civic engagement campaign, a nonpartisan effort to strengthen our democracy by encouraging everyone to vote in the upcoming U.S. election and ensuring that Reform Jewish values are represented in the public square.
Our goal is to have 100 percent of our congregants pledge to vote on or before November 3, 2020. We will be participating with other Reform Jewish congregations across the country in this campaign. To join in, simply use the link below and complete the form. It takes less than a minute. Also, please share this link/form with members of your family who are eligible to vote in the upcoming election.
We will periodically update the congregation via our “This Week at Temple Emanuel” email and our Facebook Page on our progress towards reaching 100% voter pledge to participate.
Thank you for considering participating in the Civic Engagement Pledge to Vote Campaign. Your vote matters!
