RJ Web Builder: Site of the Month (July 2010)
July's Site of the Month belongs to Temple Emanuel of Tempe!
Here are some aspects of the site that impressed the web team at URJ:
Temple Emanuel's grey and blue color scheme is very clean, and really highlights the photos that are used. This is especially true of the smiling faces on the homepage, which let people know that Temple Emanuel is a welcoming place. Further down the homepage is a great use of the Banner Ad program. Each image is linked, and colorfully highlights pages of particular interest. The way that images of documents are used instead of just links is a nice touch, including the newsletter. The blue headers on each of the secondary pages create a consistent look throughout the site, as do the many images and slideshows, with dates and descriptions below them.
Pages to Note:
Our Staff Features a beautiful graphical layout for each member of the executive staff.
Support Uses images and descriptions for certain partnership programs that help the congregation raise funds.
B'nei Mitzvah Using the embedded audio player from Podbean.com, this page is an invaluable resource for students preparing for their Bar or Bat Mitzvah.
Preschool Program Contains lots of information, highlighting Temple Emanuel's exceptional daycare staff, how Temple Emanuel is committed to to meeting each child's needs, and so on. There is also a great slideshow, with a very nice header image, and an image link to download the brochure.
Activities Features a very nice photo slideshow and information on the range of groups and activities that Temple Emanuel offers.
