Temple Emanuel of Tempe is a reform congregation that honors tradition. Founded in 1976, our congregation provides a Jewish spiritual home for more than 550 families in the East Valley area of greater Phoenix, Arizona. From preschool, religious school, adult education and senior programs to a variety of worship services, social justice projects and chavurot, there are programs to meet the needs of a wide variety of Jewish families. Temple Emanuel of Tempe is affiliated with the Union of Reform Judaism.
We cordially invite you to make Temple Emanuel of Tempe your religious home and become a part of our congregational family. Members of our congregation, together with our staff, work hard to promote Jewish values and Jewish experiences through personal service to our members. We look forward to meeting you!

Temple Tots

June 5
June 12
July 10
July 17
July 24
We will continue to meet from 9:15 - 11:00am at Temple Emanuel of Tempe. Our regular Temple Tots schedule will begin again on August 21.
Temple Tots is a FREE playgroup for children ages 0-36 months and a significant adult.
Bring a snack for your child and spend some time getting to know other parents while the kids enjoy playtime, art, stories, songs, and much more! We'll celebrate holidays together and even venture out on the occasional field trip!
With the recent terrorist activities that have occurred please be assured that we are taking you and your family's safety to heart.
Temple Emanuel has working cameras located inside and outside the building. The cameras are in obvious and not-so-obvious spaces to ensure that people coming and going; as well as activities within the building, can be monitored.
The classroom section of the Temple has safety doors that are locked during preschool hours and the classrooms themselves are locked when not in use to keep people from occupying those rooms.
We check packages for place of origin and who they are addressed to make sure they are expected by staff.
The staff is in regular contact and has very good relationships with local police and fire department personnel.
If you wish to volunteer as a greeter on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings before servicesto welcome congregants and guests to services please contact Jami in the Temple office at jami@emanueloftempe.org or 480-838-1414. This is just another way we can get to know our fellow congregants.
